“I've always had the feeling that nothing is impossible if one applies a certain amount of energy in the right direction. If you want to do it, you can do it.” - Nellie Bly, writer, investigative journalist, charity worker, inventor

17 rose cut Bohemian garnets
circa 1860 - 1880
currently a size 6.5
The Victorians loved garnets. So much so, pieces of jewelry completely covered in garnets were commissioned by lapidaries, and worn by all classes. Deep red garnets from Bohemia, now the Czech Republic, were the most valued at the time, and it's easy to see why from their sensuous color. Garnets are January's birthstone, and look beautiful on every skin tone. This ring features several vivd Bohemian garnets in a slightly rosy gold cluster setting, and would be a wonderful addition to any antique collection.
Note: This ring has slight surface wear, but is in good condition considering its age.
